The Fairy Code by Kaitlyn Weiss

The Fairy Code
Captive of the Shadows
by Kaitlyn Weiss

Release - July 3, 2019

CHAPTER ONE

The day started out like any other weekday. Who knew it would be my last day of freedom?
It was a Monday, right after a great weekend camping with my friends. I love the outdoors, and I especially love Golden Lake. The oaks and birches there are huge, maybe even centuries old, and yesterday the air had been clear and especially fresh, with a misty fog emanating from the lake. Lit by the morning sun, it had glowed a luminous golden pink, as if alive...

LitRPG/Wuxia - World 99 by Dan Sugralinov

World 99
Blood of Fate
by Dan Sugralinov

Release - September 9, 2019

Chapter 1. Last Day in the Life of Luca Dezisimu

Luca’s day was turning out average. They’d caught his sister at the market again, trying to steal a couple of soused apples from a merchant. The fruit cost a copper a basket, but to pay the girl’s bail, her mother would have to wash other people’s clothes non-stop for a week. At least an old friend of hers, another washerwoman, had gotten sick and passed her clients on.
That was why it had been two days since Luca last ate when his mother, herself barely staying upright, fed him some hastily cooked broth of potato skins. Nemania Kovachar, the owner of the only inn in the entire district, sold potato skins and similar leavings on the side.
To help his mother collect the bail money, Luca climbed into his wheelchair with her help and slowly rolled out of the hovel they lived in, heading toward the temple. The porch there was always full of professional beggars, but if he made as if he was just rolling by, he might get a few coins.
His mother didn’t even want to discuss allowing him to join the beggars’ guild. She had been and always remained the proud wife of a gladiator. They might live in a hovel on the edge of town now, since his father’s death, but there had been a time when they had a good house almost in the center of the capital, and apart from babysitters, Luca had had a nanny that taught him his letters and various sciences.

Invasion LitRPG series by Vasily Mahanenko

Invasion by Vasily Mahanenko
Book 1: A Second Chance

Release - August 8, 2019

Find out more about the series in interview with Vasily Mahanenko
Introduction

Reality is cruel. The rising level of technological development has led to a rising level of unemployment. They're laying off everybody, from teachers to technical servicemen. What's the point of holding onto a person if they can be replaced by an advanced mechanism? But what are the people to do? How are they to live? Where are they to get money from? There is only one answer – Barliona! The official government project is gathering steam, luring more and more people into its net. Who knows how people will behave when they lose everything?
Brody West is one such person. Unlike most, he doesn't lose heart. A professional project manager with thirty years in the business simply cannot do that. He has a goal, and a clear understanding of how to achieve it. Nobody can get in his way – not the new class, not the strange friend, and not the unexpected foes.

Vasily Mahanenko: Shaman is the worst cheater of 'em all

Simon Vale talked to Vasily Mahanenko about writing LitRPG, being a literary agent, getting back to Barliona (with his new series - a direct continuation of The Way of the Shaman) and Galactogon 3.

Have you read anything interesting just lately?

Recently, I organized two literary contests: a fantasy and a LitRPG, so now I'm busy reading the works sent in for the former. There was a very strong manuscript among them, amazingly so. I think it's going to win. It's a powerful work at the same level as Abercrombie. It does drag out a bit, but I've already contacted the author and he agreed that the book requires some editing in order to pick up the pacing. He's already busy with this, so I hope that very soon we might have a translation-ready manuscript. The moment I started reading it, I realized that all my efforts organizing the contest hadn't been for nothing. I'd never have found this manuscript otherwise. It just doesn't show up in online fiction rankings.

Level Up: Knockout von Dan Sugralinov & Max Lagno

Level Up: Knockout
von Dan Sugralinov und Max Lagno

Veröffentlichung am 1. August 2019

Kapitel 1.

Interworld Network: The Time Master by Dmitry Bilik

Interworld Network, Book 1
The Time Master
by Dmitry Bilik

Release - July 18, 2019

Chapter 1

My least favorite things in the world were chicken liver, heartburn, and helping people. No, my parents hadn’t spawned a scoundrel. Its just that Id rather help someone because I want to, not because Im pressured to.
Sergei, hes probably gone to the foundation pit,” my neighbors words added boiling oil to the cup of my already-heated patience.
Masha was only three years older than me, but somehow I ended up addressing her like I was a kid and she was an adult, while she graciously talked to me as though we were equals. On top of that, at age 28 she had two kids, a docile husband, and her own apartment, no matter that it was off the beaten path. In contrast, besides nine pairs of oddly colored socks, I owned nothing in particular.

Disgardium by Dan Sugralinov

Disgardium, book 1
Class-A Threat
by Dan Sugralinov

Wait up! What do you mean, your character’s been cursed? Rotting alive? You’re joking, right? Having said that… could this be the proverbial once-in-a-lifetime chance? Oh… And now that the game’s AI has reclassified me as a potential global threat, it can only mean one thing: we’re not finished yet!

The year is 2074. Alex is a fifteen-year-old student dreaming of a career as a space guide. He  eats, sleeps and breathes stars - but life has other plans. That’s how Disgardium, a new online game, becomes his only means of reaching his goal.

Alex is lucky enough to achieve what amounts to God mode complete with absolute immunity – but that’s only one side of the coin. As an imba player, he becomes a “global threat” - one of the few fellow wayward players whom the game company views as a danger to itself, paying a lot of money to the so-called prevention clans for their elimination.

Held
von Dan Sugralinov

Veröffentlichung am 4. Juni 2019

Prolog

Was für ein schrecklicher Traum! Überall Einsen und Nullen … Und ich dachte, ich sähe eine Zwei …

Futurama

„Mistkerl, Mistkerl, Mistkerl!

Adam Online: City of Freedom by Max Lagno

Adam Online - 2
City of Freedom
by Max Lagno

Release - June 20, 2019
Pre-order on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q72J7JX

In order to gain access to Adam Online's closed locations, Leonarm needs to max out his level pretty quick. Help comes from the most unexpected quarter: a human/NPC hybrid who has access to all of the game's items and is privy to its deepest secrets.

But Leonard is not alone in this race. The rumors of new locations packed to the brim with epic loot begin to spread among ordinary players. The only known transition point to the new map is being controlled by the Black Wave guild  - the very players who killed Leonarm with a mysterious weapon at the very start of the game. The guild now blocks every attempt to get to the new worlds.

This leads to the greatest clan war in the history of Adam Online: a single guild against all the other clans and players. And they won't hesitate to employ their mysterious weapon, the most destructive force in the entire game world.
Chapter 1. White Spots
I walked along a broad street in Liberty City, guided by a map on my tablet. I saw a multitude of NPCs and players along the way. Most of them were humans, supers and androids. Liberty City was their city. Mechanodestructors didn’t feel at home there. They had their own world in Rim One, the capital of which was the city Mechatron; an imposing conglomeration of highly advanced structures designed specially to support mechanicals.
I didn’t know what bizoids did in Liberty City. I knew little about the race — in my day, few would have thought of becoming such a strange, inhuman creature.

Disgardium: Apostle of the Gods by Dan Sugralinov

Disgardium, Book 2
Apostle of the Sleeping Gods
by Dan Sugralinov

Release - June 10, 2019

Foreword

Your parents are getting divorced. Now, once you turn sixteen, you’ll be doomed to a pitiful existence on the lowest rungs of society. The neighbor girl got plastic surgery for your sake and is levelling fast to impress you. A Sleeping God gave you its power, but now demands absolute loyalty and obedience even in real life. Something called the Destroying Plague wants its Emissary to infect everyone alive and, as luck would have it, that Emissary is you! But the city sees you as its salvation, not a cause of great suffering...
Scyth aka Alex is a potential Class-A threat to the whole world of Disgardium. That's how the system classifies imba players with an unfair advantage.
However, it is hard to threaten the world while you're stuck levelling up in noob town. It's even harder when all the preventer clans are on the verge of announcing a hunt for you and even your best friends can't be trusted, all while your two patron gods tear you apart from the inside. And now, to make matters worse, your biggest enemy has just become a threat as well.

Reality Benders-4: Web of Worlds by Michael Atamanov

Reality Benders
by Michael Atamanov
Book IV: Web of Worlds

Release - May 20, 2019

Introduction. Point of No Return

Moscow, Onega 3 Command Center
Russian Ministry of Defense
Small Meeting Hall

Ivan Lozovsky was very angry, but he was trying not to show it. For the first time in his nascent term as leader of the Human-3 Faction, he had been summoned to a meeting with the curators of the Dome project. And although the young diplomat couldn't see particular reason for leadership to be displeased, it was hard to be happy about being urgently yanked out of important negotiations with the allied German faction in the game and transported to Moscow by military helicopter. Was there any way this was something important enough for that?
Things were going fairly well in the faction recently thanks to the long ceasefire with their dangerous northern neighbors, which had allowed resources to be used on development rather than military needs. The faction’s population was growing steadily and had just topped two thousand. New nodes had been incorporated. What was more there was reason to believe that, in the next few days, they would be getting two more nodes from the Centaurs to the south of the Yellow Mountains. All their understandings with Phylira were still in force, and the striped mare was well on track to becoming sole ruler of a unified centaur herd many thousands strong.

Galactogon: In Search of the Uldans

Galactogon by Vasily Mahanenko
Book 2: In Search of the Uldans

Release - April 25, 2019

Chapter One

If you have ever been killed before—in real life, I mean—then you have my most sincere condolences. There is nothing pleasant about this procedure: It is frequently painful, unnerving and scary. Accordingly, if you are not partial to masochism, I recommend you avoid psychos and serial killers. Otherwise, my advice is grin and bear it and hope that if paradise awaits you after death, it will be like the one I’m currently in.
The sun in this, my personal paradise, is always at its zenith, but you don’t have to worry about heatstroke or sunburn. Comfort here is paramount. I blinked blissfully, staring straight into the disk of hot light and savored the sea breeze along my skin. Warm, emerald waves lapped at my feet and tickled them like a playful girl. The sweet chirping of exotic birds behind me mixed with the surf to form a tranquil music. Everything around me dispelled any possible cares and submerged me in nirvana—which is what I concentrated on, letting my mind enjoy a moment of peace. In precisely ten seconds I will give myself a mental kick and remind myself that these are nothing but illusions, digital decorations, plastered upon the walls of the medical diagnostic center. In precisely ten seconds—and not a second more. I have to remember who I am and why I am here.

Unterwerfung der Wirklichkeit: Countdown von Michael Atamanov

Unterwerfung der Wirklichkeit

von Michael Atamanov

Buch 1: Countdown

Release - 6. Mai 2019

Einführung. Erster Kontakt

Toter Schurke

Roman
von Pavel Kornev

Der Weg eines NPCs
Buch Nr. 1

Release - April 25

In virtuellen Welten herrscht grenzenlose Freiheit.

Chapter 1. Sandbox

For my birthday, my parents got me an Infinitum 8. Not a very expensive model of immersion pod, but one of the best in its class. It was the present I wanted most for my fourteenth birthday because that is the age you can finally start playing the coolest and most popular game on the planet – Disgardium.
As soon as the birthday party was over and the guests were gone, dad smiled:
"Can't wait to test it out?"
I nodded. How could I!? An immersion pod is not some steam-powered VR-helmet with sensors gloves!
"Go on then, Alex," mom said and laughed, embracing dad.
"Don't go in too long your first time!" he shouted after me. "Alex?"
"Yes, dad!"

Respawn Trials: Edge of the Abyss by Andrei Livadny

Respawn Trials, Book I:
Edge of the Abyss
by Andrei Livadny

Release - April 10, 2019

The Legend of the Guardians states: One who is pure of heart and desperately needs help, will always receive it.

 Chapter 1

The unexpected phone call came late in the evening. I was still awake and answered at once. "Hey. What's going on?"
My nephew and I got along pretty well, although he hadn't called or visited as often over the last few years. He'd all grown up. He had his own life now.
He said hello and then proceeded to breathe heavily into the phone without even asking after my health.
"Denis, why don't you get to the point?"
"I need your help."
"Tell me," I said as I limped over to the window. The street was obscured by an autumn drizzle. The edge of the metropolis had crept right up to the village and the low clouds were snagging on the tips of the rising skyscrapers. The old house that I had inherited from my parents would soon be slated for demolition, and there was nothing I could do about it.
"I've been invited to join an expedition. For three months. Somebody needs to keep an eye on the apartment... I've also found a side job, you see, a pretty good one. I don't want to lose it."
"Any more details? Where's the expedition heading to? What kind of job? Of course, it's no trouble for me to water the plants and feed the cat."
"I don't have a cat, you know that! The work's simple, from home. Nothing heavy. You'll fix your health up, too."

Chapter 1. Death and Oblivion

A RED MESSAGE appeared on the projection screen:

Radiological hazard. K-coefficient — 20%%%%%
Assessing radiological environment...

At that the system froze, displaying a spinning wheel. Either the readings were too complex, or the on-board computer had failed.
My traveling companion put aside the tablet on which he had been watching idiotic stand-up shows for the whole flight. For a full hour and a half, I'd been forced to listen to loud cackling and jokes in Tatar, Russian and Chinese. They were just as bad in every language. I even started getting annoyed that the cabin's soundproofing shielded us from the sound of the rotors. Their whirring would have been better than those attempts at humor.
